Telemigration: Digitally Enabled Globalisation of Services

COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH & INNOVATION

Partners: Colombia más Competitiva for the Colombian

Internationalization Mission.

From the hiring-firms’ perspective, these platforms have dramatically lowered the fixed cost of hiring foreign service- workers while at the same time dramatically raising the flexibility of such contracts. This project produced an understanding of occupations where Colombian service-sector workers and micro firms might most easily expand their export activity through telemigration, with the aim of informing better public policies and instruments.
