VIRTUAL WEBINAR
On-location platform work has been hitting headlines across the globe with concerns, disputes, and rapid developments in the employment status and conditions of workers - whether driving taxi’s, delivering food, or stocking warehouses. In contrast, online platform work is more invisible and less discussed – however its global nature makes it a high potential arena for both digitization and internationalization of work.
For countries with high-income and education levels, expert work on online platforms could provide significant future employment creation and business opportunities. This webinar aims to explore the nature and quality of virtual expert work on online labour market platforms, and its possibilities and challenges for expert workers and businesses outsourcing work at both national and international levels.
This webinar is part of the “Towards work in 2030” webinar series byWORK2030, the Finnish governmental programme for work and wellbeing at work, carried out in collaboration between ministries, trade unions and funding agencies.
