OPPORTUNITY AND DIGNITY - DIGITAL TRADE FOR SUSTAINABLE REFUGEE EMPOWERMENT
This session brings together a range of stakeholders, including international organizations, the private sector, the Swiss government, country missions, and NGOs, to showcase efforts on unlocking trade in digital services for refugees. It presents the findings of extensive interviews with refugees and stakeholders carried in Switzerland to discuss policy recommendations on what can be done to support the integration of skilled refugees into trade in digital services.

Telemigration and digitally enabled service exports
Over the last year, the global workforce has experienced a massive shift to online remote work enabled by digital transformation and radically accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic. As the phenomenon of remote working matures, the ability for workers to provide services in other nations – Telemigration – could become an increasingly viable development pathway.
