The TASC Platform and the International Gender Champions, with the support of the Innovation Foundation and the U.S. Mission to International Organizations in Geneva, cordially invite you to a film screening of the new documentary FAIR PLAY and discussion on gender balance at home and at work.
Care work in the home is largely invisible in the formal economy, yet it is the foundation of a healthy and functioning society and economy. Fair Play is a documentary film by Jennifer Siebel Newsom in partnership with Hello Sunshine which aims to make the invisible care work historically held by women visible. It highlights how unfair dynamics in the home are linked to systemic issues affecting millions of families across the globe.
As many organisations return to ‘business as usual’ after the Covid-19 pandemic, this event aims to ‘press pause’ and reflect on how culture and policy change could support a more gender-balanced future for all.
What are expectations and roles for women and men in our homes, and at work? What care work is still invisible and unpaid?
How can we interrupt assumptions and patterns which limit choices and opportunities for women and men?
What would be the impact on our lives and our organisations’ missions if we could improve infrastructure, flexibility and choice more systematically?

Children’s Activities
For parents with childcare responsibilities on the day, TASC Platform and the International Gender Champions will be providing supervised activities during the event for children ages 4 - 12 years old.
The deadline to register your child/children is December 3, EOB.
The event is open to the public, including members of the International Gender Champions network and wider Geneva community. It will be followed by a reception, providing the chance to discuss the event topics further.
