about us

Thinking Ahead on Societal Change: an open platform to support constructive dialogue and cooperation in the midst of change and transitions.

What We Do

We broaden connections, engage with uncertainty, and empower change-makers with insights, tools and mindsets to collectively understand and support peaceful, human-centered change and transitions.

By providing a place for people to share perspectives, connect visions and develop new solutions, we can bring the unknowns of the future into focus and act on them today.

how we work

The TASC Platform encourages a growing community of policymakers, businesses, researchers and civil society to engage beyond their current practice and comfort zones. We apply a multi-disciplinary approach to explore new connections, and seek to expand our collective understanding of change, transitions, uncertainty, and our future social contract.

    • Across silos, convening multi-stakeholder, multi-disciplinary and multi-sector participation

    • Focusing on missing links between issues

    • With under-represented voices, driving inclusion and highlighting perspectives of those in uncertain circumstances

    • Workshops and roundtables which convene targeted participant groups, present diverse perspectives and apply new tools to support constructive dialogue, innovation and cooperation.

    • Applied research, innovation and incubation to support the ideation and development of emerging collaborative solutions and initiatives.

    • Community and Communities of Practice: Host and nurture professional Communities of Practice that spin out of our work on specific topics and connect them in a wider TASC Community where members are united in their aim of working towards positive societal change and transitions.

    • Transitions and Transformations: Build a more holistic picture and narrative of societal change, including large scale climate, digital and geo-political transitions. What are their interconnections and effects?

    • Uncertainty: Challenge the politics and discourse of uncertainty. Develop a more informed and positive collective vision of uncertainty and promote more empowering and resilient responses. Compile a toolkit for tackling uncertainty and building uncertainty mindsets.

    • A Renewed Social Contract: Uncover an understanding of the new/evolving roles and relationships needed to build a resilient society in the face of radical change.

A unique position

Strategically located in International Geneva, home to the world’s largest concentration of international organizations and diplomatic missions, we bring together a diverse, multi-stakeholder community at the heart of global efforts to drive positive societal change.

As an independent body supported by the Government of Switzerland and embedded in the Center for Trade and Economic Integration (CTEI) of the Geneva Graduate Institute, we leverage the latest thinking in the academic world and embrace a culture of openness, critical thinking, and global cooperation.
